I know I haven’t been active lately and I apologize. I will try and be better. Now onto the real topic at hand.
My wife is probably going nuts ever since the first trailer for this came out cause this is all I keep talking about but she knew this when she married me. Guys and girls…..
WE ARE LESS THEN ONE MONTH AWAY FROM THE GREATEST MOMENT IN MOVIE HISTORY. OK that might be a bit over the top but I am so excited for AVENGERS: ENDGAME. I am currently re-watching the whole INFINITY SAGA (That is the name of the first 20 or so movies in the MCU. Or phases 1-3). I am at Guardians of the Galaxy and let me just say, if you haven’t watched these yet in timeline order, THEN GO DO IT. It’s like a book. A BIG FUCKING BOOK. And we are at the last chapter, the end, how our heroes will reverse the dreaded end to Infinity War. Before I get into ENDGAME (Don’t you love how it’s all in caps because it’s that epic) Let me just go over a few things.
First my recommended viewing order of the Infinity Saga. (I have researched this through and through cause I am the type of guy who watches all these movies in timeline, whether its X-Men and it’s very shitty order (I’m still trying to figure that one out, Deadpool really messes with it) or the DCEU, or the DC Animated Universe Movies. Unless it’s in theaters like Captain Marvel, which I couldn’t watch in timeline order, I watch it in timeline order)
- Captain Marvel
- Iron Man
- (Note these next 3 entries all happen the same time really so I’m going to go by where the ending of the movie happens compared to the other two) Iron Man 2 (Ending overlaps with Hulk but before Thor)
- Thor (Takes place during Hulk but end before Hulk’s ends.
- The Incredible Hulk (Starts near the end of Iron Man 2 and goes right through Thor)
- Captain America: The First Avenger (Ending and beginning take place in real time. The movie feels kinda like someone is telling the story.)
- The Avengers
- Iron Man 3
- Thor: The Dark World
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (Takes place a few months after)
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Ant-Man
- Captain America: Civil War
- Black Panther (Takes place a week after Civil War)
- Spider-Man: Homecoming (A few month later)
- Dr. Strange (Takes place over the course of a year so it basically is happening during all the movies before)
- Thor Ragnarok (This is where it gets tricky a bit cause the end credits scene sets up first scene in Infinity War)
- Ant-Man and The Wasp (Takes place a few days before Infinity war but the end credits scene takes place after Infinity War so it’s up to you where to put this.)
- Avengers Infinity War
- Avengers: Endgame
- (As if we are counting) Spider-Man: Far From Home (Not out yet, July 2019)
Now you don’t have to follow this, but I feel you get the full experience really. Either way as long as you watch everything else before Infinity War, you won’t be lost. So let’s recap what happened in the closing moments of Infinity War
Thanos slaps Iron Man (Tony) around and stabs him. Thanos has stones already. Power, Space, Reality, and soul (he sacrificed Gamora to get the soul stone) So basically Thanos is unstoppable. Dr Strange has the time stone and earlier he told Tony if he has to either protect Tony or the stone, well sorry Tony but it’s the stone. But wait! He offers to give up the stone in exchange for Iron Man’s life. Thanos accepts and Dr Strange gives it to him. Strange also said there is only one reality they win in and this must include Tony. Thanos leaves and Tony asks Strange why he would do that? Strange says they are in the Endgame now. (OHHHH).
Thanos arrives in Wakanda to get the last stone, the mind stone from Vision. After totally destroying everyone and Captain America almost holding Thanos back, Thanos gets to Vision, who Wanda (Scarlet Witch.) blows up. Thanos uses his newly acquired Time stone and reverses time and killed Vision to get the stone. Thanos wins, flawless victory.

But Thor decides to finally intervene and throws Stormbreaker (his new Axe) at Thanos. He hits Thanos in the chest and instead of just killing Thanos, he brags. “I told you you would die for that.” Thor you dumbass. Thanos looks at Thor and tells him he should’ve gone for the head and snaps his fingers.

Bucky, Groot, Black Panther, Falcon, Wanda, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Drax, Mantas, and Dr Strange all turn to dust. They are dead! Thanos did it. He wiped out half of the universe. He retreated to another planet and sits down, smiling over what he did. Meanwhile, on earth, shit is going down. Planes are crashing into building and cars are driving into each other. Nick Fury and Maria Hill, witness this and Nick watches as Hill dusts in front of him. He grabs a pager and as he turns to dust, he calls someone. Enter Captain Marvel. (To know why she wasn’t around go see the movie Captain Marvel. It’s really good.)
And that is where we are. The Avengers lost. people lost loved ones. The world is in chaos. I don’t know what’s going to happen but I can’t wait. All I know is I hope time travel is involved in some form and Hawkeye loses his mind and becomes Ronin, and goes and kills gang members. I’m guessing cause he watched his family turn to dust right in front of his eyes.

Look at him. You can see the sadness as he looks at Black Widow like “I couldn’t help it. There gone Natasha. There gone.”
GIVE ME THIS MOVIE NOW!!!!! This is what I want to happen. Clint to break down when he sees Black Widow and her comfort him. He’s a guy who lost everything and we’ve seen in three movies how much he loves his family. He hid them thanks to SHIELD, he got put on house arrest to be with them, he should lose his mind.
It’s been 11 years since we saw Tony Stark in a cave, making the mark 1. “TONY STARK BUILT THIS IN A CAVE…..WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!” This movie deserves to be emotional, epic, action packed. It’s 11 years in the making. Think about your favorite book series, or tv show. This is the season finale, or the final book. Spider-Man; far From Home is the start of a new season, or a new series of books. This is the end of a saga.
And that is why I’m excited. I’m waiting for my Deathly Hollows. Was Snape a bad guy or good guy? In this case it’s does Captain America Die or not? Will Tony finally be able to live with Pepper? But also, how will they beat Thanos? Thanos was the big bad in this and he lived up to it. He beat up the Hulk like it was nothing. He is up there with Loki and Vulture as some of the best villains in the MCU. Maybe even best villains of all time (we shall see).
The Avengers now have Captain Marvel. I don’t think she is the trump card everyone thinks though. I think when she arrives they will think they can beat Thanos and she will be beaten as well. But her character won’t give up. Kinda like Steve, and that is why she is the perfect replacement for Captain America. I think she will help them in the final battle but I don’t think she will be the tipping point. Not in the beginning anyway.
Another reason why I am excited, and this may sound morbid, but some people are going to die. And as a conclusion to 11 years and 22 movies, some sacrifices have to made. And I’m hoping it’s Cap honestly. I don’t mean that in a bad way, his character arc just makes it the best ending for him. Here’s how I see it: They need to buy a few more minutes for something and Steve goes “I got this.” Tony is like “Steve No” but Captain America, the guy he is, just tells Tony it’s alright, and puts up his final stand against Thanos. He dies. But he gets to be with Peggy and finally gets his dance. And that is how it should be for Steve.
Of course I also hope that all the dusted heroes come back and the final battle is all of them fighting Thanos and they finally beat him. Cause that’s how Thanos was built up and in Infinity War the heroes were divided and separated, not together. In Endgame, that is how Thanos should be beat. By the heroes being together. Civil War happened because the heroes couldn’t be together. Time to see them together and fighting for the same reason.
With Warner Brothers not knowing how to get a universe going. (And reverting back to stand alones.) This is my universe. I was 20 when Iron Man came out and now I’m 31 when the first part ends. I am so happy knowing when my kids are growing up, they will practically be starting from the beginning of there own story. I have the Infinity Saga, they will have whatever the next part is called starting with Spider-Man: Far From Home. They will have new characters like rumored movies including The Eternals, Shang-Chi, Dr Strange 2, Black Widows solo. Guardians 3 is back on track with Gunn being director again. The world of the MCU is just opening up. It’s Star Wars of comics. It’s a very exciting time. But to get there we had to start with a man in a cave, a frozen man, a guy with anger issues and a God from Asgard. And a smiling purple, mad titan who wanted 6 stones. 6 stones to change reality. Thank you for 11 years Marvel studios and Disney, here’s to 11 more.
