The End is Near: Why I’m Excited for Avengers: Endgame

null

I know I haven’t been active lately and I apologize. I will try and be better. Now onto the  real topic at hand.

My wife is probably going nuts ever since the first trailer for this came out cause this is all I keep talking about but she knew this when she married me. Guys and girls…..

WE ARE LESS THEN ONE MONTH AWAY FROM THE GREATEST MOMENT IN MOVIE HISTORY. OK that might be a bit over the top but I am so excited for AVENGERS: ENDGAME. I am currently re-watching the whole INFINITY SAGA (That is the name of the first 20 or so movies in the MCU. Or phases 1-3). I am at Guardians of the Galaxy and let me just say, if you haven’t watched these yet in timeline order, THEN GO DO IT. It’s like a book. A BIG FUCKING BOOK. And we are at the last chapter, the end, how our heroes will reverse the dreaded end to Infinity War. Before I get into ENDGAME (Don’t you love how it’s all in caps because it’s that epic) Let me just go over a few things.

First my recommended viewing order of the Infinity Saga. (I have researched this through and through cause I am the type of guy who watches all these movies in timeline, whether its X-Men and it’s very shitty order (I’m still trying to figure that one out, Deadpool really messes with it)  or the DCEU, or the DC Animated Universe Movies. Unless it’s in theaters like Captain Marvel, which I couldn’t watch in timeline order, I watch it in timeline order)

  1. Captain Marvel
  2. Iron Man
  3. (Note these next 3 entries all happen the same time really so I’m going to go by where the ending of the movie happens compared to the other two) Iron Man 2 (Ending overlaps with Hulk but before Thor)
  4. Thor (Takes place during Hulk but end before Hulk’s ends.
  5. The Incredible Hulk (Starts near the end of Iron Man 2 and goes right through Thor)
  6. Captain America: The First Avenger (Ending and beginning take place in real time. The movie feels kinda like someone is telling the story.)
  7. The Avengers
  8. Iron Man 3
  9. Thor: The Dark World
  10. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  11. Guardians of the Galaxy
  12. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (Takes place a few months after)
  13. Avengers: Age of Ultron
  14. Ant-Man
  15. Captain America: Civil War
  16. Black Panther (Takes place a week after Civil War)
  17. Spider-Man: Homecoming (A few month later)
  18. Dr. Strange (Takes place over the course of a year so it basically is happening during all the movies before)
  19. Thor Ragnarok (This is where it gets tricky a bit cause the end credits scene sets up first scene in Infinity War)
  20. Ant-Man and The Wasp (Takes place a few days before Infinity war but the end credits scene takes place after Infinity War so it’s up to you where to put this.)
  21. Avengers Infinity War
  22. Avengers: Endgame
  23. (As if we are counting) Spider-Man: Far From Home (Not out yet, July 2019)

Now you don’t have to follow this, but I feel you get the full experience really. Either way as long as you watch everything else before Infinity War, you won’t be lost. So let’s recap what happened in the closing moments of Infinity War

Thanos slaps Iron Man (Tony) around and stabs him. Thanos has stones already. Power, Space, Reality, and soul (he sacrificed Gamora to get the soul stone) So basically Thanos is unstoppable. Dr Strange has the time stone and earlier he told Tony if he has to either protect Tony or the stone, well sorry Tony but it’s the stone. But wait! He offers to give up the stone in exchange for Iron Man’s life. Thanos accepts and Dr Strange gives it to him. Strange also said there is only one reality they win in and this must include Tony. Thanos leaves and Tony asks Strange why he would do that? Strange says they are in the Endgame now. (OHHHH).

Thanos arrives in Wakanda to get the last stone, the mind stone from Vision. After totally destroying everyone and Captain America almost holding Thanos back, Thanos gets to Vision, who Wanda (Scarlet Witch.) blows up. Thanos uses his newly acquired Time stone and reverses time and killed Vision to get the stone. Thanos wins, flawless victory.

thanos-gets-all-the-infinity-stones-in-avengers-infinity-war

But Thor decides to finally intervene and throws Stormbreaker (his new Axe) at Thanos. He hits Thanos in the chest and instead of just killing Thanos, he brags. “I told you you would die for that.” Thor you dumbass. Thanos looks at Thor and tells him he should’ve gone for the head and snaps his fingers.

thor-thanos-759

Bucky, Groot, Black Panther, Falcon, Wanda, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Drax, Mantas, and Dr Strange all turn to dust. They are dead! Thanos did it. He wiped out half of the universe. He retreated to another planet and sits down, smiling over what he did. Meanwhile, on earth, shit is going down. Planes are crashing into building and cars are driving into each other. Nick Fury and Maria Hill, witness this and Nick watches as Hill dusts in front of him. He grabs a pager and as he turns to dust, he calls someone. Enter Captain Marvel. (To know why she wasn’t around go see the movie Captain Marvel. It’s really good.)

And that is where we are. The Avengers lost. people lost loved ones. The world is in chaos. I don’t know what’s going to happen but I can’t wait. All I know is I hope time travel is involved in some form and Hawkeye loses his mind and becomes Ronin, and goes and kills gang members. I’m guessing cause he watched his family turn to dust right in front of his eyes.

tmp_hltb8i_f2a65d940e1f9c42_hawk

Look at him. You can see the sadness as he looks at Black Widow like “I couldn’t help it. There gone Natasha. There gone.”

GIVE ME THIS MOVIE NOW!!!!! This is what I want to happen. Clint to break down when he sees Black Widow and her comfort him. He’s a guy who lost everything and we’ve seen in three movies how much he loves his family. He hid them thanks to SHIELD, he got put on house arrest to be with them, he should lose his mind.

It’s been 11 years since we saw Tony Stark in a cave, making the mark 1. “TONY STARK BUILT THIS IN A CAVE…..WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!” This movie deserves to be emotional, epic, action packed. It’s 11 years in the making. Think about your favorite book series, or tv show. This is the season finale, or the final book. Spider-Man; far From Home is the start of a new season, or a new series of books. This is the end of a saga.

And that is why I’m excited. I’m waiting for my Deathly Hollows. Was Snape a bad guy or good guy? In this case it’s does Captain America Die or not? Will Tony finally be able to live with Pepper? But also, how will they beat Thanos? Thanos was the big bad in this and he lived up to it. He beat up the Hulk like it was nothing. He is up there with Loki and Vulture as some of the best villains in the MCU. Maybe even best villains of all time (we shall see).

The Avengers now have Captain Marvel. I don’t think she is the trump card everyone thinks though. I think when she arrives they will think they can beat Thanos and she will be beaten as well. But her character won’t give up. Kinda like Steve, and that is why she is the perfect replacement for Captain America. I think she will help them in the final battle but I don’t think she will be the tipping point. Not in the beginning anyway.

Another reason why I am excited, and this may sound morbid, but some people are going to die. And as a conclusion to 11 years and 22 movies, some sacrifices have to made. And I’m hoping it’s Cap honestly. I don’t mean that in a bad way, his character arc just makes it the best ending for him. Here’s how I see it: They need to buy a few more minutes for something and Steve goes “I got this.” Tony is like “Steve No” but Captain America, the guy he is, just tells Tony it’s alright, and puts up his final stand against Thanos. He dies. But he gets to be with Peggy and finally gets his dance. And that is how it should be for Steve.

Of course I also hope that all the dusted heroes come back and the final battle is all of them fighting Thanos and they finally beat him. Cause that’s how Thanos was built up and in Infinity War the heroes were divided and separated, not together. In Endgame, that is how Thanos should be beat. By the heroes being together. Civil War happened because the heroes couldn’t be together. Time to see them together and fighting for the same reason.

With Warner Brothers not knowing how to get a universe going. (And reverting back to stand alones.) This is my universe. I was 20 when Iron Man came out and now I’m 31 when the first part ends. I am so happy knowing when my kids are growing up, they will practically be starting from the beginning of there own story. I have the Infinity Saga, they will have whatever the next part is called starting with Spider-Man: Far From Home. They will have new characters like rumored movies including The Eternals, Shang-Chi, Dr Strange 2, Black Widows solo. Guardians 3 is back on track with Gunn being director again. The world of the MCU is just opening up. It’s Star Wars of comics. It’s a very exciting time. But to get there we had to start with a man in a cave, a frozen man, a guy with anger issues and a God from Asgard. And a smiling purple, mad titan who wanted 6 stones. 6 stones to change reality. Thank you for 11 years Marvel studios and Disney, here’s to 11 more.

The Beast Incarnate- How Brock being Champ hurts….and Helps WWE

brock-lesnar-1074065

Brock Lesnar is currently on his 2nd Universal title reign. He is 80 days in. And hes only defended it once with his second title coming up at the Royal Rumble against Finn Balor. He more then likely will win and go into Wrestlemania as the champ. This is good and bad.

The Universal title has been around since August 2016. It’s had 6 champions. Two of those have been Brock. So it’s had 5 champions. Finn had it one day. So 4 champions. Kevin Owens, who held it for 188 days. Goldberg, who held it for 27 days. Roman Reigns, who would still be champion if he didn’t have to go fight Leukemia. (Go get them Roman. I’m officially a fan of you. Cancer is a bitch and I hope you overcome it brother.) and of course Brock. The point I’m trying to make is out of those 4, two were part timers and account for a little more then 70% of the titles life. That’s not good. Not when it’s suppose to be your highest title on your flagship show, RAW.

But this is also Brock Lesnar, a freak of an athlete. A big money draw. A must see attraction just about. Whenever he is on a PPV, people tune in to either see him lose, or win. He’s like Tom Brady. The people who hate him, HATE HIM and will tune in just to laugh if he loses. The people who like him (My best friend is a huge fan.) LOVE HIM, and tune in to watch Brock throw someone half his size around. I’m sure my buddy is looking forward to RR. He brings in money, one way or another, and that is why he has the title.

There are pros and cons to the Brock Lesnar title reign. Now this whole piece is opinion, as is everything I write, and I don’t expect everyone to agree. I’m a wrestling fan and writing this from that view and what I see. Let’s first break down some of the pros of Brock wearing your belt.

Pros

1. The Money draw, must see factor

Like I said earlier, Brock brings eyes. People know his name and he brings in money, and for Vince that is a big thing. Money equals more money. Vince loves money. So of course Brock wears the title. You may not like it but you still watch and thus you don’t hurt Vince’s wallet and Brock gets the title. Brock is Vince’s go to emergency, as we saw at Crown Jewel. Roman is out so Brock got the title. Until people stop tuning in, either to see Brock lose, or win, Vince will always go to him. Vince will pay more then UFC and that is why Brock is still here. Honestly, if Brock goes to UFC, that is good for everyone who is sick of him. But right now Vince sees Brock as a big dollar sign.

2. The Title is something to compete for.

This is the point some people will disagree with but I don’t like the 30 day rule. At least not for the main title. The main title should be something you earn. Not every 30 days someone new comes up to challenge. If the rule was changed to 60 days I feel the title would feel bigger. It would everyone to scramble to try and challenge for it. I don’t think this should apply to all the titles, just the big one. Defend it at the PPV, have people compete for a spot at the next PPV to become number one contender and then the following PPV another defense. Brock not being around for every PPV saves you from the lesser PPVs. 12 PPVs I think is too much, as alot are filler to get to bigger shows. You get no decisions, or bad booking choices. Now with the new rule, you make that filler PPV mean something with a number one contenders match.

3. Paul Heyman

Brock being around means more Paul Heyman. Brock being champ means Paul Heyman is turned up times 10. Paul Heyman could sell a bar of soap if he wanted to. The man is a genius on the mic and most of the time can get you hyped for a match. Yes he has fell flat sometimes but for the most part he nails it. We need more Paul soemtimes.

Cons

1. Your flagship show has no title to go after.

RAW currently has the Intercontinental title as it’s “main” title. Bobby Lashley just won it so we’ll see how that goes, but for the longest time it had Seth Rollins vs anyone as the story. Seth is one of my favorite wrestlers but event hat was growing stale. Then Dean turned heel and become a germ a phobe and that didn’t help. Dean didn’t help the title and it’s fair to wonder what Dean can really bring. He has to step it up.

This is the problem with Brock. Brock hates to travel, we all know this. And that is why having him have the main title is bad. He won’t be on every RAW and he wont even be on every RAW leading to a major PPV. MAYBE Wrestlemania. But that’s a maybe. And that hurts RAW. A Mid-card title can’t be the main title that everyone is going to. Mid-carders are not meant to carry a show (Unless this 97-01, then yea.) Which brings me to my second con.

2. You can’t make Stars when he has the title

Brock goes by the name The Beast Incarnate, which means the Beast in the flesh. Brock has been built up so big from beating the streak, to holding the title a year, that you have only a select few people that can beat him. And once someone beats him, they can get huge. WWE has a star problem. They don’t have many people who could beat him. Roman beat him at Summerslam and Goldberg at Survivor Series 2016 was his first pin in years. Those guys are also huge Beasts themselves. You can’t tell me you believe Finn Balor can beat him. Finn isn’t built up like that (Unless the Demon comes back, I’ll believe that). At this point your telling me the only people that can beat him are Goldberg (who he destroyed at WM) and Roman. Cena can’t even get a win against this guy. You have to start building up people to make you think they can win. Braun has lost to him so many times it’s hard to take him seriously when he faces Brock. It’s like Bray Wyatt and his spooky shit. You gotta win to be taken seriously or at least put up a fight.

3. His schedule.

The only time Brock can lose is really at 3 PPVs. Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam. Over the past 6 years, it is like clockwork. He appears at those 3 big shows and one minor one. And even then you can take out Royal Rumble. If he has the title there, he is gonna have it at WM. So really he is gonna lose it at two shows or not at all that year. He never wrestles on RAW cause he is rarely on it. If I was offered Brock’s money and schedule, Yeah I would take it too. But when your champion only appears 20 times a year or less, it’s a tough sell. If it was more like my 60 day rule I proposed, I’m sure people wouldn’t mind as much, especially if he made more appearances in between the defenses.

Look I like Brock. I always get hyped when he is on the show and wrestling. I love watching him throw around people. SUPLEX CITY BITCH. But I also know a problem when I see it and WWE hasn’t been great this past year. We are entering Wrestlemania season and I know he will be champ. I don’t mind, but I also think some things need to change if he is gonna be champ. Now the rumor is Seth is beating him for the title and if that is true, it’s the right step. Seth is not Roman and WWE could turn the ship around and make other stars around Seth if he has the title. But if Brock signs a new deal and Vince decides to wait it out for Roman to come back, then we will be back to square one like last year, and that is something WWE doesn’t want. Use Brock in other places, without the belt. You’ll get the same impact, people will tune in. But RAW will have it’s title back on a consistent basis and they need that right now.

Or maybe the Demon will come back Sunday and we won’t have to worry anymore. One can dream.

2018 Review: My Top 3 Albums

judas-priest1

I know I know, this blog is a little late but January has been a crazy month for me. I just turned 31 (ahhhhhhhh), I got a promotion at work, and my current position as been like the Titanic sinking. So forgive me for not having time to do this. I hope to be better I promise.

I plan on giving you my top ten albums but really I’m going to only go into depth on my top 3, cause those are the only ones that matter. 2018 for me was about finding new bands while revisiting a few ones and realizing that Adam Gontier was Three Days Grace and without him they are utter crap. Like dog shit on your shoe crap. Like almost as bad as the teams the Red Sox destroyed in the playoffs (SKANKEES). So without further delay here is 10-4.

10.And Justice For None- Five Finger Death Punch

9. Evolution- Disturbed

8. Vicious- Halestorm

7. Avatar Country- Avatar

6. Ember- Breaking Benjamin

5. When Legends Rise- Godsmack

4. Reborn- Warkings

3. The Shadow Theory- Kamelot

mi0004466302

Continuing on the theme from the last album, Haven, Kamelot explores more dystopian themes and dark futures, with the hint of light at the end of the tunnel. The album took a bit to grow on me but once it did, it really is a great album. Now it isn’t even close to Silverthorn, but it’s a good follow up to that and Haven. Twilight Hours is a duet about (or at least this is what Im guessing) a ghost who longs for his lover when he was alive. Then you got Phantom Divine, which I covered in my song reviews, plus many others.

2. Prequelle- Ghost

ghost-prequelle

Ghost may have took the top song of 2018 (Rats is just such a great track and great opener), but it cannot take the top spot for albums. Take away the instrumentals and really prequelle is only 8 songs. Yea the instrumental Miasma is a great track and makes sax metal, it’s the other tracks that make the album. Prequelle is a departure for Ghost from there older material. Based of the black plague in the 14th century, tracks like Rats, Dance Macabre, and Witch Hunt tell a dark story about death and what those people felt like as the ones around them died. Witch Hunt’s chorus sums it up perfectly. “While you sleep in earthly delight, someone’s flesh is rotting tonight.” Or Dance Macabre chorus “Just wanna be, wanna be with you in the moonlight.” telling about being someone before the plague hits either one of you. Under these lyrics though is a great rock record. It just doesn’t keep the strength from start to finish like number 1 does.

1. Firepower- Judas Priest

81um6dvhukl._sy355_

There are very few records out there that really carry from start to finish. Nightmare, Painkiller, Powerslave are a few that I can think of, and that is not bad company to be with. Firepower is 14 tracks of just kick you in your face, watch you bleed from your ears, heavy metal. THE PRIEST IS BACK (They never really left.) From the opening track Firepower, to the World War 1 ballad Sea of Red, Judas Priest is showing you that they can still rock and they are pissed that you said otherwise. When Redeemer of Souls came out, I was a little disappointed. Yes it was a typical Priest record but it was missing something. Like I didn’t want them to go out on that record. If Priest retires tomorrow (they won’t, I can almost guarantee we will get one more album) I would be OK with this being the last record. This is in my top 3 Priest records for sure, and gives a good case to be number 1. And the artwork and title screams METAL!!!!! With all the music editors not giving this album enough love (They really loved Ghost this year) I am proud to say that it is my number one album of 2018, and it is well deserved.

My Top Ten Songs of 2018

Ghost-Cardinal-Copia

2018 was a year of singles. Most of the time, when a band is promoting a new album, I find songs that aren’t the singles, that are way better. Not this year. I found a lot f my favorite bands didn’t get past the single stage.Honestly I was kinda underwhelmed. I won’t say disappointed cause there are still some heavy hitters this year. I just was expecting more from Disturbed, Halestorm, Godsmack and Breaking Benjamin. But I’m not reviewing albums (this is next blog). This is all about the top ten songs of 2018. My list. So if you don’t agree that is alright! Music is subjective and we all have different tastes.

As we move onto 2019 (with hopefully a brand new Avenged Sevenfold album or Volbeat around the corner), let’s take a look at my list. Songs on this list are on CD’s that came out this year, even if the song was released last year to promote.

10. Sparta- Warkings

unnamed-3-6

These guys look like heavy metal. A viking, crusader, spartan and grim reaper walk into a bar…..yeah OK enough with the jokes. I totally believe the whole Leonidas/300 thing is over saturated but I stumbled across this song a month ago on the Napalm records YouTube and the chorus instantly hooked me. I’m not one for growling vocals but the guest growling vocals fit the song well and the main singer is one of the best singers I think.  And the drums are awesome too. Go check these guys out, their new album came out last month. They are brand new.

9. Rising From Ruins- Judas Priest

judas-priest1

Judas Priest destroyed metal this year with Firepower. It is one of the best albums I’ve heard and it is in the top 3 of their catalog. This song has a track before it called Guardians that you can say is an intro, but I’m ranking the actual song here. Halford sounds better here then he has on the last two records and with Richie Faulkner on guitars with Glen Tipton, the young blood does well. He injected life into these guys, even thought they didn’t need it. This song is probably one of my top 3 favs on the new record.

8. Bulletproof- Godsmack

Godsmack

This song has a typical commercial feel to it but I don’t care. First time I heard it, the chorus stuck with me. Godsmack changed direction and it’s a 50/50 with the fan base. I love the song. It’s short and quick but packs something to it. Maybe Godsmack was telling the base they are Bulletproof cause they knew they would freak out over the new direction. But Sully said he isn’t pissed off anymore and it clearly shows.

7. The Dark of You- Breaking Benjamin

BB-2018-Wombat-Fire

After years of being on hiatus, Breaking Benjamin came back in 2015 with Dark Before Dawn. Benjamin doesn’t fix what isn’t broken and that sometimes can be a bad thing. In this case though it’s good. This song is a nice, slow song talking about the world. Ben is a good vocalist and it shows in slow songs. Also, this is a duet, even though you would never know it. In the background, very faint, is a higher pitch voice. It’s Dancing With the Stars own Derek Hough. I don’t know who that is, but it fits in the song when you can hear it.

6. Gladiator- Warkings

maxresdefault

You can tell I like these guys because this is the 2nd song on this list. About the movie Gladiator (obviously), it’s got the same fast guitar and double bass as Sparta, but without the growling vocals. The chorus instantly sticks with you (I Am Gladiator, king of the burning sand, I am Gladiator, Are you entertained?) and it’s only 3 and half minutes long. And the video is kick ass (No matter how cheesy).

5. Killing Ourselves To Live- Halestorm

Halestorm-2-Jimmy-Fontaine

I’m so disappointed that Halestorm has changed so much since there first two albums. The debut one is awesome and the second one is great. I saw them in 2009 when they were just coming out and they are not the same band. Yes I know, bands change but I just feel they are going too far into the whole sex thing (yes there is too far). With that being said, this is easily the best song off the new album and one of there best songs period. Lzzy does have a good voice, and when she lets it out, she lets it out. The guitar is good and the solo is great too. Just a shame this is the only song on this list.

4. Firepower- Judas Priest

A67G0796-JudasPriest-kaplan

Anyone who knows me is obviously a little shocked that the title track for Firepower is number 4, but I will say this: The top 4 songs are really, really close. Separated by one part of a song just about. I had a really hard time ranking these four but in the end Firepower is number 4. The opening track on Firepower, Firepower is a kick in the face opener. Right off the bat, you can tell that the Priest is back! The way Halford just screams FIREPOWER! The metal God is in true form on this track. Halford is basically saying I may be in my 60’s but listen to this! A pure example of a opener that hooks you in.

3. Are You Ready- Disturbed

Disturbed-Event-2019-39acca0fe9

This track took a bit to grow on me but once it did, it’s a really great track. Like Godsmack, this is a departure from what we know from Disturbed. After coming back with Immortalized in 2015, Disturbed released Evolution. Are You Ready is NOT a representation of the album. Once again, Draiman sings about standing up, rising above oppression, and not giving in to higher powers. Typical Disturbed stuff. But it’s a very powerful song and the last chorus when they change it up from you to we is awesome. Disturbed evolved (pun intended) with this song.

2. Phantom Divine (Shadow Empire)- Kamelot

Kamelot-Featured

I am the empire! I love this song. It builds up to the end where, with simple guitar and drums, while Tommy sings I am the empire, makes a great climax and end. With Lauren Hart growling I am in the background, this last part really makes the song I feel. Like a lot of the other songs on this list, it was one of the singles released to promote the new album and does a good job showing you what the album will be like. After two albums, Tommy also feels right at home with Kamelot and he shows his skills in this song.

1. Rats- Ghost

ghost_2018-2

Where were you when Ghost took over the music world in 2018? Seriously, I felt like this song was everywhere the first half of 2018. I remember being in Denver, listening to KBPI, when this came on. The chorus instantly stuck with me. That whole Rats oooooahhhhhhh. I still listen to this song on repeat and it’s almost a year old. It’s right up there with my favorites like Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold and Turbo Lover by Judas Priest. I just love this song. Ghost really blew up this year, and this song got me into them. Of course, I can tell you right now, with this choice you either fall on one side or the other. You either agree that this is the number 1 song of 2018 or you think it’s vastly overrated. There is no in between I’ve noticed with these guys. People love or hate them. The lyrics also hit true with the world currently. The album is about the black plague in the 14th century, 1347-1351, with this song being about the rats that spread it, but it also has double meaning and can be about beliefs. Just look at the first verse.

In times of turmoil, In times like these. Beliefs contagious, spreading disease.

Pretty true. And a perfect way to sum up 2018.

And there you have it, my top ten songs of 2018. I like doing projects like this and be on the look out for more, as I have a plan to do list like this for years in the past. And at the end, when every number one is picked, do the ultimate list. Check back soon for my album reviews and have a Happy New Year!

The MCU is the better Universe (But the DCEU can still right the ship)

I remember back in 2008, I was all excited for The Dark Knight. Batman is my favorite super hero hands down. I love his villains, I love the Bat Family, and I love the character. I even have The Dark Knight logo tattooed on me. But a few months before that was another superhero movie. A B character. Someone nobody knew about. Iron Man.

My buddy showed me the trailer and at the time I thought it was a fake. I saw Iron Man 3 times in the theater. I love that movie. It caught everyone by surprise. That drug addict Robert Downey as a superhero? Totally redeemed himself. And now he is a household name. He may that character his own.

But what really got people excited was Samuel l Jackson, in the post credit scene. “I’m here to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative.” BOOM Mic drop. The story was set and over the course of four years we would set up this movie coming in 2012. The Avengers. Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 2, all these movies set up that movie.

The Avengers blew the bank wide open. Money flew at Marvel like one of those cash grabbing booths. Marvel was onto something. Something big. Something purple, mad titan big. 6 years later and we are near the end of the first 3 phases. Avengers: EndGame in 2019. and DC is hanging onto this ship, clinging for dear life.

When Marvel brought the concept of a shared universe, nobody thought it would work. Too many characters, movies weren’t long enough. But they did it. They did it with a road map, Kevin Feige, and some very great casting choices (Tom Hiddleson). Yes there were some hiccups such as Tony Stark the Mo….I mean Iron Man 3 ( I personally enjoy Iron Man 3) or The shove everyone in there Age of Ultron that really lasted a few days. (I forgot to mention Thor The Dark World…..which should prove my point). But Marvel was raking in some cash and everyone wanted to join. Universals Dark Universe, which failed twice with Dracula Untold, and The Mummy (It had Tom Cruise and it FAILED). The Monsterverse (The verdict is still out on this one cause Godzilla was a great movie and Kong: Skull Island is good. Godzilla: King of the Monsters looks like it’s going to be every monster fans dream and Kong vs Godzilla is a UFC Monster main event). But there is one universe that I really wish would work but can’t stop tripping over itself. The DCEU, DC comics cinematic universe.

I Love DC comics. Like I said early, Batman is my favorite. I love DC’s storylines. If you look at my graphic novel collection it really is all DC and a few Marvel. Blackest Night, Batman: Hush (The villain and story are both grossly underrated), Batman: Knightfall, are all great stories. I love Green Lantern and the different Lantern Corps. Superman is OK. They are just more interesting to me. But yet I find the MCU a way better franchise.

DC has a decent track record as far as movies go. I won’t go into TV cause I don’t watch the shows much. I might someday. DC’s movies are more quality over quantity I feel. You look at top lists of comic book movies and while Marvel has more on the list, DC’s movies that do make the list are usually ranked high. The Dark Knight is usually always in top 3, most of the time number 1. Superman is a classic. As is Tim Burton’s Batman that changed the game in 1989. Batman Returns is also good, but since it’s so dark and gothic it rarely gets love. Wonder Woman put female superhero movies on the map. But for all these movies you have god awful movies like Batman and Robin (CHILL!) Catwoman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Superman Returns (that movie is soooooooooo boring) and I really hate to include it but Justice League wasn’t exactly the cream of the crop (EVEN THOUGH IT SHOULDV’E BEEN THE MOST EPIC AWESOME MOVIE EVER…rant over).

This brings us to the DCEU. In 2012 Zack Snyder, of Watchmen and 300 fame, was brought in to reboot Superman, called Man of Steel. Zack has a very specific type of direction and if you’ve seen 300 (everyone has) or Watchmen you know what that is. He can polish his story skills but his design is wow. He hired a little known british actor from The Tudors, Henry Cavill, to play the man of steel. Now at the time, this was standalone. The movie was OK with fans and critics. I love the movie, but I also have a guy-crush on Henry Cavill. Ask my wife. We went and saw Mission Impossible cause of him. Thats OK she likes him too. Anyway the ending is what divided people the most. But what people don’t get it at the time Snyder had a 5 movie plan laid out. You can’t make 5 movies if you don’t make money though. Zack was trying to deconstruct Superman and build him into the hero we all know. That happens in JL. But him breaking Zod’s neck really pissed people off.

But back to the brief history lesson. At 2013 Comic con, DC announced they were going to jump into the shared universe business. They thought, let’s throw in BATMAN. Batman Vs Superman. The stage was set.

Warner Brothers began plotting out this shared universe. The problem was they were playing catch up to Marvel. This is where there first big mistake is. Instead of just doing it their way, they had Justice League set to be released before they even established the League. Green Lantern wasn’t till 2020, Aquaman 2018, The Flash 2018. And they were going to throw Wonder Woman into BVS. She would also get a solo movie. It was just too much. And BVS, I enjoy the 3 hour cut, collapsed under that weight. It didn’t even gross a billion dollars at the box office. Rumors swirled that WB was scared. But the show moved on, and hope was on Suicide Squad. That failed too. So 2017 rolls around and Zack Snyder is fired. Joss Wheaton of Avengers fame is brought in to polish the script and do reshoots. Wonder Woman comes out and does great. All is right in DC land.

Except Justice League comes out and it tanks, hard. Harder than my 49ers this year. The reshoots are visible. They are trying to be like Marvel. Batman is a joke cracker. That’s not what he is. Superman’s upper lip is so distracting (Henry Cavill had a moustache cause he was filming MI6 and he couldn’t shave it off so they had to take it off CGI style). Then news comes out about Zack’s firing and how much of the movie was changed and this train is off the rails. Shakeups are made in DC films and now the focus is on standalones, with no team ups in sight. Not really a shared universe anymore. And it had so much potential. and to top it off, Aquaman is the only release in 2018 while Shazam is the only one 2019 and WW2 is 2020.

The MCU is a stable ship while the DCEU was at one point the Titanic. Things seem to be fine now, and with Aquaman getting good reviews, maybe they finally have righted the ship. But the big thing is that from the beginning, DC has tried to play catch up and focus on being Marvel instead of themselves. The MCU had a vision, the DCEU did not. First it was Darkseid, then it was the Legion of Doom (Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke is the greatest thing we will never see again) now who knows.

The MCU knows who it is and sticks with it. They crack jokes at serious moments, which is fine. I love most of the jokes. Drax is an idiot. The DC set up this serious universe and then tries to make Batman Star-Lord. It doesn’t work. You have different characters.

The MCU also has producer Kevin Feige, who let’s the directors make movies, but gives them basic points about where this story is going. Some movies are self-contained, like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, or Black Panther, but they still effect the world they are in. DC has Warner Brothers, who like to tell you to make steak for dinner and to spice it up your way, while giving you the spices and saying here’s what it needs to be exactly. If that was confusing that’s the whole point. James Wan was left alone with Aquaman and it seems to have paid off. Patty Jenkins was left alone and WW was a massive hit.

Marvel built up to Infinity War and EndGame. They earned the big payoff. DC basically figured you would care about these characters without getting to know them. Ben Affleck’s Batman is The Dark Knight Returns Batman. He is different from Christian Bale’s Batman or Keaton’s. But DC expected you to act like you’ve known him for years.

Now you are probably thinking I’m a hardcore DCEU hater. I’m not. I enjoy the movies, I watch them. But I am also not going to let me enjoyment of them cloud the fact that it is not a better universe then the MCU. Now in 5-10 years maybe that changes. In my personal opinion that can happen with 4 simple fixes.

1. A unified vision and road map

DC needs to make a blueprint for 2020-2025 and stick with it. Plan out the characters and movies you want to focus on and focus on them. Yes give yourself wiggle room like Marvel did with Phase 3 and Spider-Man. Marvel announced phase 3 back in 2014 before Age of Ultron and stuck with it for the most part. They gave themselves room to put Spiderman in Thor Ragnarok’s place and simply pushed that back and Black PAnther back from November 2017. Same with Ant-Man and the Wasp. It only pushed Captain Marvel back. The only movie on that slate that didn’t come out was The Inhumans (made into a horrible TV show).

If DC can get a focus on one plan instead of just going with what’s hot, they can make movies that are good. I know they can. If Suicide Squad was given more time it probably would be better than it was. We are already seeing this with The Batman. They are slowly cooking this. Now throw in a sequel to Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern Corps, Aquaman 2 (it’s coming we know this), and possibly WW3, you can cap it off with JL2. That gives you 6 movies to focus on with wiggle room for Shazam 2 if it’s successful.

2. Build around your characters

The big different between the heroes of DC and Marvel is Marvel are regular people trying to be Gods, with one God in Thor and DC’s heroes are Gods trying to be among people, with Batman as the human. Green Lantern is a space cop whose ring is only as limited as his mind and will, so that can place him in God status I feel. DC should embrace this. I think there heroes are better than Marvel.

Some of your characters you can use for jokes. Green Lantern, if you introduce the Corp, can use jokes. Superman can be too, along with hope and goodness. Batman cannot be used for jokes, unless it’s sick, sadistic Joker jokes. You can say some of the MCU characters blend in, with some differences. DC can use this to get a leg up on Marvel and make Batman and Superman tonally different.

3. Accept that you won’t catch up to Marvel and you won’t be them

This is a big one. Accept that you are already years behind and go at your own pace. Introduce the solo movies and work up to the team up. at this point you are so far behind that if you try to catch up again, you will just fall down more stairs. If DC just goes at their own pace and does movies their way, it’ll add enough change that they can make money. As long as Marvel puts out good product, the superhero bubble won’t burst. Be your own universe. Dont try and be like them. Have Batman be dark. Have Superman be cheery and fun. Have Wonder Woman be love and bravery (they already did this).

You will never catch up to Marvel unless you put out 5 movies a year, and that will cause the superhero bubble to burst. Don’t be afraid that Darkseid is coming out to close to Thanos. The two aren’t the same. Thanos kills half the universe for Lady Death (or in the movies case, to stop starvation and use of resources and well population control) while Darkseid just wants to rule everyone and everything.

4. Last but not least studio interference

Studio interference is usually a bad thing. Batman and Robin is a big example. Warner wanted it to be more kid friendly and we got that pile of dogshit.. Sometimes studio interferance is a good thing. Most of the time it is not. Spider Man 3 another example. Venom was just one too many in that movie. I know that since Warner Brother is fronting the bill they want a say. That’s fine. But the way they did it with Justice League did not help. Was Snyders original movie bad? Maybe. We will never know. My point is that maybe it wouldn’t have been. Warner tried to blend two different movies together and you can see that most of the cast did not like it. Ben Affleck is practically just waiting for his paycheck in some scenes. If Warner didn’t order a bunch of reshoots, JL had a better shot at making a profit. Would it? Who knows. But we would have gotten a better looking upper lip. The movie could’ve still been shit. The point is is that anything really could’ve happened. people who hate BVS in theaters like the 3 hour version. Also don’t give us caps on time. Infinity War is 2 and half hours long but doesn’t feel like it. A good movie will make a long movie seem short.

Right now when a MCU movie is released, we don’t think it’ll get panned whereas a DCEU movie comes out and we hold our breath waiting for reviews. Will it suck or not? It shouldn’t be this way. The DCEU has so much potential. It is full of gold ready to be released. It just needs a few fixes and maybe, in ten years from now, or sooner, we will have our Thanos moment in the DC. Darkseid vs The Justice League. It would be epic. But until then I will be waiting for Avengers: EndGame

The 2018 49ers. A Season of Hope and An ACL

jimmy g acl

An image is worth a thousand words. Or something like that. In the case of the picture above, a thousand tears….from 49er fans everywhere. From my eyes. God I have never been so upset by a player getting injured until week 3 of this season. Jimmy G being carted off the Kansas City field with a torn ACL. His season over. Just like that.

In order to truly understand why this was horrible, you have to go back to 2014 when Jed York, that crying, spoiled little brat, who is CEO of the 49ers fired Jim Harbaugh. Was Jim a clashy person? Oh yea. But he brought fire to this team. He was a QB whisperer. He made Alex Smith, yes 2005 first overall pick, ahead of Aaron Rodgers, a good QB. Alex isn’t going to light up scoreboards, but he taught Alex how to not turn over the ball.

The 49ers with Harbaugh were 44-19-1 and in the playoffs 5-3. He made 3 NFC championship appearances. Now I will give critics the fact that he can’t win the big one. He is still having trouble at Michigan with that. Recently got destoryed by Ohio State 62- to 39. The 49ers without Harbaugh are a…ready?

7-25.

7 wins 25 losses. IN 2 YEARS. Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly combined couldn’t even get more wins then Harbaugh did in HIS FINAL SEASON. 8-8. Jed York destroyed this team cause he got hurt feelings that Harbaugh took credit for the success. And to this day the 49ers are trying to right the ship. And that is where this story begins.

After the 2016 season Chip was gone and in came Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch as GM. The future was finally hopeful again. Yes it would take time. This was gonna be a rebuild. We needed a QB after the Kaepernick fiasco. We needed practically everything. But with a mind like Kyle Shanahan, anything could be possible.

Then in 2017, the 49ers ripped off 9 straight losses. Between Bryan Hoyer and CJ Beatherd, it didn’t look great. Then the trade deadline hit and Kyle traded for a little QB named Jimmy Garoppolo. And HE ENDED UP WINNING 5 games in a row to send the Niners to 6-10. I was all about this guy. Bought his jersey after he signed a 5 year deal. The Jimmy train was ready to roll.

Fans were excited. They had a reason to be for once. Kyle and John signed Jerick Mckinnon in the offseason and began rebuilding the defense in the Draft. It was awesome to be excited again.

Then Mckinnon tore his ACL on the last day before the regular season. That’s OK we still had Jimmy G. We would be OK. Week 1 happened and while I wasn’t expecting to beat the Vikings, they didn’t look great. The defense was horrible, even with Richard Sherman (my once enemy now my greatest friend) now on the 49ers. The feeling was OK, well the offense looked OK, and we got Jimmy.

Now before this season began some people thought Jimmy was a God. They had us winning it all. Me, I just wanted to compete for a wild card spot. I knew we were a few years away. Then week 3 hit.

In the 4th quarter, with the 49ers trying to come back from 38-10, Jimmy G takes the ball and runs to the goal line, to the first down marker.

jimmy acl 2

This happened. In one step, season over. Jimmy goes down. The faithful hold their breath. Jimmy gets carted off. Then the news comes out. Torn ACL. DONE for the year. With Jimmy gone, the cracks begin to really show for this team.

The defense is about 3 good pieces away from being good. They get shredded up every week. And the offense has no QB besides Jimmy. CJ and Nick Mullens can’t cut it. CJ looks like a backup, lost out there and Nick has no arm to throw outside the numbers.

The problem with this year and this team is they are built around Jimmy. If Jimmy goes down, they have no weapons or system to help a back up. Now we are in the running for the number 1 pick. And we need it. With Reuben Foster being released due to the fact that he can’t stay away from the girl he apparently keeps on hitting (scumbag) we have another hole to fill on defense. We need pass rush. We need a corner, since Whitherspoon couldn’t block a beach ball if he tried, and we need Robert Saleh to go bye-bye. He is in way over his head.

The defense has not shown much improvement all year. If a team shows that then you know the coaching is working. They miss the same tackles since week 1. They seem loss out there. Robert seems loss out there. Yes they are ranked 11th in defense, but they pass is smack in the middle at 16 and the run is 22nd.

The offense needs a receiver. When Goodwin isn’t out there they have nothing. Pettis has shown signs of being good but they still need another guy. Someone to help these youngsters get there.

Basically if they get the number one pick, Bosa has to be the guy. One guy won’t turn the defense around but if Bosa is a pass rusher like they say he will be, that will take alot of pressure off the pass defense, and they need it. Free agency should be to address the Receiver position. The 49ers don’t spend money and this year they need to. They have major holes and they need to fill them. This is year 3 of 6 for Shanahan and Lynch. We have to start seeing something. Even just a little. We are going to be pushing crunch time soon for these two. I’m not calling for there heads, I still have faith in them. But if we hit year 4 and we are getting nothing, then the mobs might come out.

This team is sitting at the bottom of every power rankings and should lose out the rest of the games. Seattle twice, Denver, Chicago and LA. If this was earlier in the season I would say they can win against Denver, but Denver has been showing fight lately. The 49ers could very well finish 2-14 for the second time in 3 seasons.

The season still isn’t over after it is look for a recap blog. This was more of why the fans, like myself were excited and why it has gone downhill. Yes this team has many injuries and that is a factor in the record. But also the defense has shown they are a few pieces away from contending and that without Jimmy at QB, right now this team is hopeless. After the offseason this may change and they may address some major holes. But for these last 5 weeks, look for me at the bar, drinking away the pain of a torn ACL.

What the Red Sox mean to me and the magical 2018 season

me and papa johnred sox ws locker room.jpg

Anyone who knows me personally knows how much I love two teams. The Boston Red Sox and the San Francisco 49ers. Up until recently if either team lost (baseball is a marathon so it wasn’t loses in the regular season so much as loses near the end of the season) it would ruin my day. I love my teams. Now the past 4 years since the great Jim Harbaugh was kicked to the curb in a very stupid move (Michigan is seeing what I love about the guy. He’s a winner, he just needs to win a big one) I haven’t let the 49ers get to me. Yes the first 3 games of this season I was like that. We had Jimmy G, the future was bright. Then it all shattered thanks to a torn ACL (JIMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and now its like “they lost again oh OK. Better draft pick.”

The Red Sox though are a totally different beast. My wife really got to experience that this year in the playoffs. I thought she was gonna scream at me to sit down cause I was pacing so much and screaming at the TV. At players who can’t hear me call them names. I love these guys. Every single one of them. Me screaming isn’t me being a bad fan, it’s me knowing these guys are so much more then what they would show at times. Mookie Betts (Bookie Betts as my wife loves to call him) The AL MVP. Probably one of the best all around players in the league, up there with Mike Trout. Andrew Benintendi, Benny Biceps, one of the most underrated players out there. And he looks like a Ken doll. Steve Pearce and his Pearce stretch.pearce stretch

Look at that. He did this almost every game of the playoffs and the dude isn’t even a golden glove at first base. Thats Mitchy, steak and potatoes, Moreland. Moreland was sidelined by a hamstring injury, but came up big in game 4 of the World Series with a 3 run moon bomb. Rafi Devers. He is now 22, but when he was 21 he was a liability at 3rd. He turns 22 in the playoffs and made plays I thought he never would. Guess you gotta grow up. Eduardo Nunez. Dude destroyed his body in Game 3. Chris Sale, who is my favorite player in the game. He wasn’t a factor down the stretch due to two shoulder injuries. I think there is something else to that honestly. And then of course there is one guy I forgot to mention. Well actually I saved one of the best for last. JD MARTINEZ. JUMBO DONG. (Thanks to Jared Carrabis from Barstool for this nickname, actually thanks to to him for all the nicknames.) This dude filled the void Big Papi left. He improved everyone around him.

2018 was magical. I’m glad I got to see the best Red Sox team ever. Sorry 2004. I know you came back 3-0 against the evil empire, but this team has something about them. Alex Cora ( MY MANAGER) brought out something in this group of guys that John Farrell couldn’t. 108 wins. 11- 3 in the postseason. Beat the 100 win Yankees like there were nothing in game 3 of the ALDS 16-1. The Houston Astros, 103 wins, destroyed as well. and The Dodgers, well, they never stood a chance. To beat this Red Sox team, you had to put up runs. You had to get to the starter. You had to try to get to the bullpen, which was a weakness in the regular season, was stellar in the postseason, thanks to Jimmy Buchanan aka Joe Kelly. Dude needs to get heated more often. I really wanna like him. I wanna be abroad the Joe Kelly train so bad, he’s so inconsistent though.

David Price, who was destroyed by the Yankees, comes back, helps Boston tie up against the Astros. Then wins his next game on 3 days rest, filling in for Sale. Then he comes out and wins game 2 of the WS, and then on 3 days rest AGAIN, wins game 5 with 7 innings 5Ks, and 1 earned run. I am aboard the Price train. Hell I’ll drive the damn thing. By the way, Price went undefeated since I bought his jersey after game 2 of the ALCS. (Ill take credit for that.) I just love everyone on this team! Except Pomeranz, Pomeranz can go somewhere else for all I care.

I could go on and on about this year. And now if you are this far into the blog, this is what it is really about. My love for the Red Sox. And to understand that it starts with one man. The guy I am with in that first picture. The greatest, most loyal Red Sox fan ever. My grandfather John Missita. He never missed a Red Sox game. He took me to my first Red Sox game. Against the Rays. They lost but I don’t care. He took me to the Baseball Hall of Fame, where I saw the sock. Curt Schillings, blood soaked sock.

I was out in Colorado when they won in 2004. So I never got to see his reaction to them winning. I can imagine he did have some tears. He wouldn’t admit it. He was a small Italian guy who liked to be tough. Thats why i value my Italian heritage. And thats why I bleed red and blue.

I get my temper probably from him when it comes to sports. He screamed at the TV too. I only saw it once but it scared the living piss out of me. But I know he loved the Red Sox. And he loved baseball. He umped for little league. That’s where I get my love for it. Now I wish I stuck with it, but my kids will know how great this sport is. It is my job to be like my grandfather. Baseball is hard for some people to understand (Im still trying to explain to my wife baseball. I will get her into sports!!!) It isn’t complex, just a lot of rules. I do wish the seasons were a bit shorter though. But I guess that’s because even the best team can lose on any given day, where as basketball your star player has to not play for a team like the Hawks to beat the Warriors, and even then that’s a stretch.

My grandfather was battling Leukemia for about two years I believe. Honestly it’s something I would rather not remember, who wants to know when a loved one was diagnosed with cancer? He was doing great. We really thought he would be OK. Then in August 2013, it all came crashing down and he got really bad. I tried everything I could to get out to see but I couldn’t. He died on September 20th, one month before the Red Sox would get to the World Series.

I Know the Boston marathon was that same year, and yes I know the Red Sox were powered by that. They finished last the year before and last the following year. So of course they played for their city. But to me, and members of my family, they played for my grandfather that postseason. And I know, and if you aren’t religious or don’t believe in heaven or the afterlife that’s fine, I believe in my heart he was with that team that year. It helps me get through. I cried like a baby when they won it all. It is what I needed in that time. My life wasn’t going great, I had just got out of a horrible relationship and still felt guilt for not seeing my grandfather, even though I had no money. The Red Sox winning that World Series was uplifting to me. It is what I needed (not to mention 3 days later I began dating my future wife).

Ever since my grandfather passed away, I have taken his place. By that I mean watching every game, or at least having ESPN gamecast on, I have followed them though the offseason, I scream at them. My love for the sport has grown so much since that year it’s crazy. I loved them before but now they have overtaken the 49ers as my favorite team out of all sports. 2018 was the cherry on top. 5 years after my grandfather passed, they became the greatest Red Sox team ever. So if you see me with my hat on, or one of my 10 jerseys on, you will know it isn’t just a normal fandom to me.

We did it Grandpa, Red Sox are World Series champs again

What is this? A little insight

Dp40KefUUAAZP6r

Look at that picture right there. 2018 World Series champions……

Oh wait you are probably wondering what this is even about and I’m already throwing Boston Red Sox photos at you.

Living in the high mountains of Colorado, it is very hard to find people that are into the same stuff as you. Especially when you come from the east coast. Where pro wrestling is huge, baseball is huge, football is huge (well let me rephrase that, hate for the Patriots is huge, which I don’t share but that’s for another day.) Where as out here, while it is beautiful and I enjoy every single day here, none of that stuff matters. Rockies fans are passionate but they don’t know much outside Coors field. Bronco fans can’t tell you the Quarterback before Tebow or Manning (there are some that can don’t get me wrong. But most can’t. It was Kyle Orton, before him Chris Simms, before him Jay Cutler, before him Jake Plummer, before him Brian Griese, and of course John Elway.)

It’s just hard to find someone to sit down and talk about this stuff with. It really is. Which is why I am doing this. To get to people, like you, who are taking the time to read this. As you can tell by the first paragraph, I’m not an English major, I didn’t even go to college. My point is is that this isn’t going to be some fancy writing, I’m going to write as if you are right here. It may take some time for me to get this going, as I am currently attempted to balance things out and figure out when to write but also because sometimes it’s tough to find stuff to write about. Baseball is over and the major free agents, like Harper, have Scott Boras as there agent, who is like maple syrup sliding down a tree. But I promise you, if you read, I will write. And Please feel free to interact with me on twitter @Turbo_Lover6. One rule though. If you plan on commenting or shooting me a tweet, be respectful. We have too much hate in this world and if you are gonna be like “OH you suck your opinion sucks, the 49ers suck (They do I know this. JIMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) The Red Sox suck, I will block you. It is fine to have disagreeing views and still get along, just be respectful. I will take criticism if it is respectful.

A few more things. I am also married, and work full time, so blogs won’t go up at the same time all the time. Follow me on twitter if you like this though, cause I will post updates on there. I also tend to scream a lot about the Red Sox on there and how the 49ers are currently a dumpster fire so if you wanna laugh at that go ahead.

Some of the things you will see on this include Red Sox news and thoughts, my opinions on sports and what’s going on right now, movie and game reviews sometimes, and stuff along those lines. YOU WILL NOT SEE POLITICS ON HERE. I am not opening up the can or worms. And if you do it will be very rarely.  This blog is meant to be for everyone. I wanna mix it up a bit. Sports will probably be the majority of this but just know other things will be on here. I can tell you the first few blogs I have in my mind will be probably sports. Mainly Red Sox. Because it was a magical year. It was just so amazing.

So folks, welcome! and enjoy!
